tunes for your social or corporate gathering?
TWILIGHT BLUE
is original instrumental music in a smooth combination of jazz
and new age styles. Eminently listenable but at the same
time pleasantly non-distracting, we offer the perfect musical
ambience for your event. The group features Steve Kornicki

Composer and
instrumentalist Steve Kornicki attended the Settlement
Music School in Philadelphia, studying composition with Jeffrey
Mumford and guitar and bass with William Peters. He has been involved
in the music business professionally for more than fifteen years
as both a composer and a performer, and has written scores for the
concert hall as well as film, video, music libraries, theater and
dance productions. His music has been heard on network television
and Public Radio International, as well as on radio programs around
the United States, in Europe and in Japan. Between 1995 and 2000,
he fronted the popular Pittsburgh-based instrumental group "The
Kornicki Brothers", who performed at festivals, corporate events,
private parties and other gatherings across Pennsylvania, Ohio and
West Virginia. From 2000 to 2003 Steve lived and worked in Los Angeles,
California, composing, performing his original music, and doing
musical production for several national media companies. Upon his
return from LA in 2003, he formed TWILIGHT BLUE with percussionist
Rob Grano, and is actively resurfacing on the Pittsburgh music scene
in both live performance and music production. |
| Percussionist
Rob Grano has been active in the Pittsburgh music
scene since the mid-80's, playing with several artists around the
city. Before that he spent two years in Dallas, Texas, where he
played with various musicians including studio guitarist Tommy Walker
(now in L.A.) and multi-instrumentalist and session player Tom Shinness
(now based in Nashville.) From 1992 to 2000 he was percussionist
for the Celtic band Carnival of Souls, then went on to play with
Cherylann Hawk and Nathan Wilson from 2000 till 2003. He is also
the percussionist for singer Jody Abbott (formerly of Squonk Opera),
with whom he has performed since 1997. Other artists he has performed
with include Mark Pipas, Bush Prisby, Denys Candy, John McDonald,
and the band Shades. In addition to live performances, he can be
heard on the recordings of several of these artists, with more recording
work scheduled for 2004. |
