Sound Designer
and Percussionist Kevin Kornicki is a graduate
of Philadelphia’s Settlement Music School. Kevin has
been percussionist and assistant musical director for Pittsburgh's Squonk Opera
for nearly a decade. His credits include an appearance on
the cover of the New York Times (art section), a run on and
off Broadway, "Pittsburgh’s Best" in the Pittsburgh
Post Gazette's Theater Awards for an original score based
on Orson Welles' Moby Dick Rehearsed, plus a long
list of national press reviews. Kevin's animated theatrics
during a performance create a unique auditory and visual experience
as he intertwines the use of traditional, uncustomary and
primitive styles of percussion. Kevin has collaborated with
top-notch artists from various disciplines including his brother, composer
Steve Kornicki,
; Attack Theatre, a cutting edge dance
company; and Dave Eggar, cello/piano virtuoso. Kevin owns
and operates a 5.1 surround sound recording studio where he
has produced and engineered a variety of music, including
Squonk Opera’s multiple releases. Find out more at www.kevinkornicki.com.
